Ghost of Henry Fellows (CADILLAC)

Cadillac, Mich., November 18.--From the Manton country comes the weird story of a ghost that hovers about the farm home of Henry H. Fellows, whose widow is to appear in court a week from Monday to answer a charge of murder, the suspicion being that her husband came to his death by poison administered by his wife.
This ghost, according to neighborhood gossip, is the shade of the departed Fellows and it has returned to earth, so it is said, to assist in solving the mystery connected with the death. Several neighbors claim to have seen the ghost, a long, lean and lank specimen of its kind, garbed in white, and bearing the features of the dead man.
It was first seen, on a recent stormy evening, when a soggy, dripping rain was falling, and fitful gusts of wind stirred the dead leaves, hovering over the Fellows home, in midair, undecided in its movements, and in seeming doubt to its purpose or plan for the night. This was along about 10 o'clock and a passing farmer, driving home from Manton, was permitted the initial glimpse.
He sat in his wagon for ten or fifteen minutes, looking upon his first ghost. Then it dissolved and was seen no more that night. Two or three evenings later another passing farmer saw the shade and now it is not uncommon for the ghost to be seen every evening. Between 10 o'clock and 11 seems to be its favorite hour.
